In order to seamlessly play the game, Holly created an interactive GUI in C++ which could communicate with the PIC through the UART serial communication and display the game state. In addition to the GUI, the C++ program includes a terminal emulator which allows the user to debug and see the print statements from the PIC. Ultimately, the teaching team adopted their own version of the GUI to display the game state for the final presentation.
